The Hub

Located in Thie Rosien this warm and well lit building is home to the Hub Club, the Information Hub and the Community in the Kitchen.  Situated outside are two sheds, home to the Men in Sheds project and to the rear of the building is the Has Beans gardening project.

Men in Sheds

The Men in Sheds project was set up in March 2011 as a hobbies place for older men.  With the emphasis on retirement being a positive, active and fruitful experience, this project for retired men offers a sense of purpose, a chance to be creative, productive and contribute to society. The Shed is a place to learn new skills and share old ones – or as one regular visitor points out, “It can just be somewhere to come and have a cup of tea and a chat.”

SPort Erin

SPort Erin is a charity established with the key goals of providing a permanent pitch for Southern Nomads RUFC and in doing so to facilitate the provision of sporting facilities for the south of the Isle of Man. In realising these, the intention is to then to increase the ongoing participation in rugby on the island and hence to further encourage sporting events across the south of the island from a wide range of sporting disciplines.
